RESOLUTION NO. 3995 BY: Messrs. Williamson, Chockley, Gaydos, Gottermeyer, Huffman, Lawther, Ward. AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, as Director of Public Safety, to advertise for bids for the purchase of one new station wagon for the Division of Public Health and the sale of one 1956 Ford courier sedan now in service in the Health Department, WHEREAS, It is necessary to replace the 1956 Ford comfier sedan now in service in the Division of Public Health, and, WHEREAS, It is necessary that the purchase and sale be at as early a date as possible, and, WHEREAS, An emergency exists in that the said purchase and sale is for the immediate preservation of the public health and safety and in that it provides for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Mayor, as Director of Public Safety, be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the pmrehase and sale cf the followi~ equipment: (a) The purchase of one new station wagon (b) The sale of one 1956 Ford courier sedan The amount bid for the used car to be sold by the City shall be deducted from the price bid for the one new car to be purchased by the City. The net price shall be quoted. Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all mem- bers elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force im- mediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor.
