RESOLUTION NO. 4001 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Ward, Williamson, <br /> Chockley, Gaydos, <br /> Gottermeyer, Huffman, <br /> Lawther. <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, as Director of <br />Public Works to advertise for the purchase of a scrubbing machine for <br />the Division of Refuse Collection and Disposal. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, In order to avail the Division of Refuse Collection <br />and Disposal of modern, efficient and up-to-date equipment, it is <br />necessary to authorize the purchase of a scrubbing machine, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The said purchase should be made at as early a date <br />as possible, and, <br /> <br /> ~REAS, An emergency exists in that the same provides for <br />the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health, and <br />safety, and in that this resolution provides for the usual daily <br />operation of a municipal department, now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE 00UNTIL OF THE CITY 0F LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />0HI0: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, as Director of Public Works, be <br />and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the purchase <br />of one scrubbing machine for the Division of Refuse Collection and <br />Disposal. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this resolmtion is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br /> provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all mem- <br /> bers elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force im- <br /> mediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: May 16~ 1960 <br /> <br />F.
