RESOLUTION NO. 4003 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Chockley, Gaydos, <br /> Gottermeyer, Huffman, <br /> Lawther, Ward, <br /> Williamson. <br /> <br /> AN E~ERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor as Director of <br />Public Works to advertise for bids for the purchase of one broom <br />filing machine, one trailer-type air compressor, one front end loader, <br />one power mower, and one one-half ton dump truck for the Division of <br />Streets, Sewers and Sidewalks. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, It is necessary for the purchase of the aforementioned <br />equipment to be made at as early a date as possible, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, An emergency exists in that the same provides for the <br />immediate preservation of the public peace, property and safety, and <br />in that this resolution provides for the usual daily operation of a <br />municipal department, now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CO~tOIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br />and he <br />of the <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, as Director of Public Works, be <br />is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the purchase <br />following equipment: <br /> <br />(a) One broom filing machine <br /> <br />One trailer-type air compressor <br /> <br />(c) One front end loader <br /> <br />(d) One power mower <br /> <br />(e) One one-half ton dump truck <br /> <br /> Bids may be taken for all of such items or any part thereof <br />and the Council may award a contract or contracts for any one or any <br />combination of the said items. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared te be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote cf two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: May 16~ 1960 <br /> <br />F.
