RESOLUTION NO. 4042 BY: Messrs. Ward, Williamson, <br /> Chockley, Gaydos, <br /> Gottermeye~, Huffman, <br /> Lawther. <br /> AN EMERGENCY~EsOLUTIoN authorizing and directing the <br />Director of Finance of the City of Lakewood to take such steps as <br />may be necessary to secure notice to the City of Lakewood from the <br />Cuyahoga County Board of Revision of hearings on applications for <br />reduction in tax valuation of Lakewood properties and requesting <br />the Director of Law of the City of Lakewood to investigate such ap- <br />plications. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the immediate preservation of the public property and <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, now, there- <br />fore~ <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHI0: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Finance of the City of <br />Lakewood be and he is hereby authorized and directed to take such <br />steps as may be necessary to secure notice to the City of Lakewood <br />from the Cuyahoga County Board of Revision of hearings on applica- <br />tions for reduction in tax valuation of Lakewood properties. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Director of Law be and he is hereby <br />requested to investigate applications for reduction in tax valua- <br />tion of Lakewood properties and to represent the City of Lakewood <br />before the Cuyahoga County Board of Revision in regard to those <br />applications which, in his opinion, should be contested. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this resolution is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure for the reason stated in the preamble hereof <br />and, provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: February 20, 19.61 <br /> <br />Approved:..?ebruary ~4, 1961 <br /> <br />F.
