RESOLUTION NO. 4056 BY: Messrs. Gaydos, Gottermeyer, <br /> Huffman, Lawther, <br /> Ward, Williamson, <br /> Chockley. <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, as <br />Direc~cor of Public Safety, to enter into a contract for the purchase <br />of seven (7) new four-door sedans and one pick-up truck and the <br />sale of seven (7) used four-door sedans and one pick-up truck for <br />the Division of Police in the Department of Public Safety. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency <br />measure in that it provides for the immediate preservation of the <br />public safety and welfare and for the usual daily operation of a <br />municipal department, now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, as Director of Public <br />Safety, be and he is hereby authorized and directedto enter into <br />a contract for the purchase of seven (7) new four-door sedans and <br />one pick-up truck and for the sale of seven (7)used four-door <br />sedans and one pick-up truck as trade-ins on such new motor <br />vehicles, with the highest and best bidder after competitive <br />bidding. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the cost of said contract hereby <br />authorized shall be paid from appropriation number 4112, <br /> <br /> Section 3. This resolution is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof <br />and, provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of <br />all members elected to council, it shall take effect and be in <br />force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted:... ~rCh 20, ~961 <br /> <br />Approved:,,, <br /> <br />Mar~h,23~ 1961 <br /> <br /> Frank P.
