Ward, Williamson, <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4081 B¥~ Chockley, Gaydos, <br /> Gottermeyer, Huffman, <br /> Lawther. <br /> AN EMERGENCY ~ESOLUTION ~uthorizi~g and directing the Director <br />of Public Works to enter into a contract, after approval by the <br />Council, for the improvement of Sloane Subway from Lake Road to <br />Sloane Avenue by resurfacing same with asphaltic concrete and <br />doing any and all grading, draining and curbing or other work <br />necessary thereto. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This Council deems it necessary and condusive to the <br />public safety and welfare to improve Sloane Subway from Lake Road <br />to Sloane Avenue as set forth in the title hereof, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This ordinance con~tutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the iK~ediate preservation of the public property <br />health, safety and welfare and for the usual daily operation of a <br />municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br />OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is <br />hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the improvement of' <br />Sloane Subway from Lake Road to Sloane Avenue by resurfacing sa~e <br />with asphaltic concrete and doing any and all grading, draining and <br />curbing or other work necessary thereto with the lowest and best <br />bidder after advertisement according to law and after approval of <br />such contract by the Council of the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> Section 2. This resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and, <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />July 19 l <br /> <br />F.
