RESOLUTION NO. 4089 BY:Messrs. Ward, Williamson, <br /> Chockley, Gaydos, <br /> Gottermeyer, Huffman~ <br /> Lawther. <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the <br />Director of Public Works to enter into a contract, after approval <br />by the Council, for the improvement of Kauffman Park by the <br />construction of an off-street parking area therein. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The Council has determined to proceed with the <br />improvement set forth in the title hereof by contract, and, <br /> <br /> V~EREAS, It is necessary to improve Kauffman Park by <br />the construction of an off-street parking area to provide sufficient <br />parking space for the users of the said Kauffman Park, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency <br />measure providing for the immediate preservation of the public <br />health and safety and for the usual daily operation of a <br />municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he <br />is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract for the <br />construction of an off-street parking area in Kauffman Park with <br />the lowest and best bidder after advertisement according to law <br />and only after approval of such contract by the Council of the <br />City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to <br />be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble <br />hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect <br />and be~ force immediately upon its adoption and approval by <br />the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted:........Scptember.18. lQ61 <br /> <br />Wilson Chockley, <br /> President <br /> <br />Approved: .......
