RESOLUTioN NO. 4107 BY: Messrs. <br /> <br />Gottermeyer, Huffman, <br />Lawther, Williamson, <br />Chockley, Gaydos. <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the <br />Director of Finance to employ by contract the firm of Peat, <br />Marwick, Mitchell & Co., accountants, to conduct &survey of <br />the accounting and reporting, fiscal controls, and clerical <br />procedures in the Department of ~inance and to make <br />recommendations for increased effectiveness therein~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolutlon constitutes an emergency <br />measure providing for the immediate preservation of the <br />public property and welfare and for the usual daily operation <br />of a municipal department2 now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF T~ CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Finance be and he is <br />hereby authorized and directed to employ by contract the <br />firm of Peet, Marwick, Mitchell a Co~ for the purpose of <br />conducting a survey of the accounting end reporting, fiscal <br />controls and clerical procedures in the Department of ~inance <br />and to make recommendations for increased effectiveness therein. <br /> <br /> The said contract ~hall provide for a fee of.not to <br />exceed seven thousand dollars ($?,000.00). <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof <br />and, provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of <br />all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in <br />force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />December 18, 1961 <br /> <br />F.
