As A~ende,d <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4155 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs~ <br /> <br />Huffman, Lawther, <br />Usher, Ward, <br />Wendling, Williamson~ <br />Gaydos. <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, as <br />Director of Public Safety, to enter into a contract or con- <br />tracts for the purchase of two (2) new four-door sedans and <br />one (1) new compact type sedan, and the sale of two (2) used <br />four-door sedans for the Division of Police, Department of <br />Public Safety. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency <br />measure in that it provides for the immediate preservation of <br />the public safety and welfare and for the usual daily opera- <br />tion of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF 0HIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, as Director of Public <br />Safety, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter <br />into a contract or contracts for the purchase of two (2) new <br />four-door sedans and one (1) compact type sedan, and for the <br />sale of two (2) used four-door sedans as trade-ins on such new <br />motor vehicles, with the lowest and best bidder after adver- <br />tisement according to law. <br /> <br /> Section 2. This resolution is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble <br />hereof and, provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect <br />and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by <br />the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />April 16, 1962 <br /> <br />Robert M.
