RESOLUTION NO. 4158 BY: Messrs. Ward, Wendling, Williamson, Gaydos, Huffman, Lawther, Usher. AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of Public Works to enter into a contract or contracts for the purchase of one new vacuum type leaf gathe~8~n~ ~=*-hbasin cleaner, one new.dump truck, onenew four-do~s~an,T~ne new salt spreader unlt, one new cab and chassis ~or mounting spreader unit and one new 4 cubic yard street sweeper, and the sale of one used cab and chassis now serving spreader unit and one used 1953 Chevrolet coach~ for the Division of Streets, Sewers and Sidewalks in the Department of Public Works. WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency measure in that it provides for the immediate preservation of the pubiic safety and welfare and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract or contracts for the purchase of one new vacuum type leaf gatherer and catchbasin cleaner, one new dump truck, one new four-door 00mpact type sedan, one new salt spreader unit, one new cab and chassis for mounting spreader unit and one new 4 cubic yard street sweeper, and for the sale of one used cab and chassis and one used 1953 Chevrolet coach as trade-ins, with the lowest and best bidder after advertisement according to law. Section 2. This resolution is hereby declared to be and emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and, provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor.
