SO UTIOS SO. <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of Public <br />works to enter into a contract for the purchase of two thousand <br />(2,000) tons of rock salt for the period commencing November 1, <br />1962 and ending March 31, 1963. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, In order to provide safety for vehicular and <br />pedestrian traffic during the winter months, it is necessary to <br />purchase salt, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the immediate preservation of the public health, <br />safety and welfare and for the usual daily operation of a muni- <br />cipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he <br />is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract for <br />the purchase of two thousand (2,000)tons of rock salt for the <br />period commencing November t, 1962, and ending March 31, 1963, <br />for the Department of Public Works, with the lowest and best <br />bidder after advertisement according to law. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to <br />be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble <br />hereof and, provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect <br />and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by <br />the Mayor. <br /> <br /> President <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
