RESOLUTION NO. ~8 BY: <br /> <br /> N~he~ <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director Of <br />Public Works to enter into a contract for the purchase of the nec- <br />essary requirements of gasoline for the Several departments of the <br />City for a period of one year beginning NOvember t, 1962~ <br /> <br /> ~{EREAS, It is necessary to furnish the several depart- <br />ments of the City with gasoline for the operation of vehicles and <br />motorized equipment, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the irmuediate preservation of the public property and <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1o That the Director of Public Works be and he <br />is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract for the <br />purchase of the necessary requirements of gasoline for a period of <br />one year beginning November 1, 1962, for the several departmentsof <br />the City with the lowest and best bidder after advertisement accord- <br />ing to law. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to <br />be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof <br />and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: ~Ob~ ~ ~6~ ~0~,~ <br /> President <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
