RESOLUTION NO. BY: AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Director of Public Works to enter into a contract for the furnish- ing of electric street lighting service with the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company. WHEREAS, Resolution No. 4169, adopted September 4, 1962, authorized the Director of Public Works to negotiate a contract for the furnishing of electric street lighting service with the lowest and best bidder after advertisement according to law, and, WHEREAS, Pursuant to such advertisement, the only proposal received was from the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company, and, WHEREAS, Such proposal,being the only one submitted, is considered to be the lowest and best bid, and, WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency measure providing for the immediate preservation of the public health. and safety and for the usual daily operation of a municipal de- partment; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract for the furnishing of electric street lighting service with the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company in accordance with its proposal submitted in response to the advertisement authorized by ResolutionNo. 4169. Section 2. This resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor.
