RESOLUTION NO. 4201 BY: Messrs. Ward, Wendling, <br /> Williamson, Gaydos, <br /> Huffman, Lawther, <br /> Usher. <br /> A RESOLUTION commending Anthony J. Poss for his <br />many years of service to Lakewood Hospital. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Anthony J. Poss has become one of Lakewood's <br />best known and highly regarded citizens by virtue of his Chair- <br />manship, for two terms, of the Central Budget and Policy Commit- <br />tee of the Welfare Federation; by his Life Membership in the <br />Family Service Association; by his Chairmanship of the Merrick <br />Settlement House; by his more than thirty years, both as a <br />member and as interim President of the Board of Trustees of <br />Lakewood Library; by his membership on the Board of Trustees of <br />Blue Cross and the Ohio Mental Health Association; and by his <br />membership on the Lakewood Hospital Board of Trustees, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Anthony J. Poss has now been a member of <br />said Lakewood Hospital Board of Trustees for twenty years and <br />during that time has unselfishly given so liberally of his <br />time, talents and energies, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This selfless donation and service to <br />Lakewood Hospital and his long years of activity in the public <br />interest at the expense of his own time and convenience are most <br />worthy of an expression ofpublic recognition and appreciation; <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council hereby expresses to <br />Anthony J. Poss the gratitude of the citizens of this community <br />for his many years of tireless effort on behalf of Lakewood <br />Hospital and his devotion to a multitude of other civic interests, <br />and for his outstanding contribution to the preservation of the <br />health and to the cultural growth of the community at large. <br /> <br /> Section 2. Be it further resolved that the Clerk <br />of Council be and he is hereby authorized and directed to forward <br />a certified copy of this resolution to Mr. Anthony J. Poss at <br />12806 Arliss Drive, Lakewood 7, Ohio, and that a copy of this <br />resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br />Adopted:.
