RESOLUTION NO. 4217 BY: Messrs. Ward, Wendling, Williamson, Gaydos~ Huffman, Lawther, Usher. AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of Public Works to enter into a contract or contracts for the pur- chase of two new, small,dump trucks, one new, large, dump truck, one new cab and chassis, complete with air compressor, and two new pick-up trucks, for the Division of Streets, Sewers and Sidewalks, Departmen~ of Public Works. WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency measure in that it provides for the immediate preservation of the public safety and welfare and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, BE IT P~SOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF I~KEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. .That the Director of Public Works be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract or contracl~ for the p'~rchase of two, new, small dump trucks, one new, large, d~ur~p truck, one new cab and chassis, complete with air compressor, arid two new pick-up trucks, and for the sale of two, used, s~all d~mp trucks, one used, large dump truck~ one used cab and chassis, complete with air compressor, and two used pick-up trucks, as trade-in on such new vehicles with the lowest and best bidder or bidders after advertisement according to law. Section 2. This resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor.
