RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of <br />Public Works to advertise for bids for the construction of a <br />sewage treatment plant. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Plans and specifications have been prepared <br />for the aforesaid sewage 'treatment plant by the consultants em- <br />ployed by the City, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, It is the intention of the City of Lakewood <br />to prOceed forthwith with the construc'~ion of the aforesaid sewage <br />treatment plant, and, <br /> <br /> Y~EREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the i~Imediate preservation of the public health and <br />safety and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; <br />now, therefore~ ~ <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF ~IO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public ~orks be and he <br />is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the constrnction of <br />a sewage treatment plant in accordance with the plans and specifica- <br />tions prepared by the consultant employed by the' City. <br /> <br /> Section 2~ That the advertisement for said bids shall <br />provide for and require that bids for the construction of said <br />sewage treatment plant shall be in accordance with said plans and <br />specifications, together with bids for portions thereof, as alternates <br />which may be included in or eliminated from the contract for and the <br />construction~ shall state t~at the City may accept or reject any or <br />all bids, including alternates. <br /> <br /> Section 3. This resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its adoption° <br /> <br /> Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
