RESOLUTION NOo 4249 BY: Messrs. Ward, Wendling~ <br /> Williamson, Gaydos, <br /> Huffman, Lawther, <br /> Usher. <br /> A RESOLUTION commending Chief Francis E~Stephens <br />for his service to the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Chief Stephens has served on the Lakewood <br />Police Department for thirty-five years, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Chief Stephens has carried out his duties <br />in a manner consistent with the highest standards of integrity and <br />responsibility in a position which requires the very highest degree <br />of both qualities, and, <br /> <br /> WHEP~AS, He has given unselfishly of his time and <br />ability in the development of an outstanding Police Department, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, His ability, leadership, personal warmth, <br />and devotion to duty have earned for him the esteem and admiration <br />of his fellow citizens; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1o That in recognition of his long <br />tenure as a public official, this Council hereby expresses to <br />Chief Francis Eo Stephens its heartfelt thanks and appreciation for <br />his many years of tireless effort and devotion to the Lakewood Police <br />Department and for his outstanding contribution to its high <br />standards of excellence. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and he <br />is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of <br />this resolution to Chief Francis E# Stephens and that a copy of <br />this resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting° <br /> <br />Adopted: June 17, 1963 <br /> <br />Robert M.
