RESOLUTION NO. 4254 <br /> <br />Messrs. <br /> <br />Lawther, Ward, <br />Wendling, Gaydos, <br />Huffmau. <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and Directing <br />the Director of Public Works to enter into a contract for the <br />razing and clearing of dwellings and garages located at 1449 <br />Belle Avenue and 1453 Belle Avenue <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The Board of Trustees of Lakewood Hospital <br />has requested the Director of Public Works to construct off-street <br />parking facilities on parcels of land located at 1449 Belle Avenue <br />and 1453 Belle Avenue, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The structures on said parcels are no <br />longer needed for hospital purposes, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, It is immediately necessary to remove aaid <br />structures in order to proceed with the construction of off-street <br />parking, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency <br />measure in that it provides for the immediate preservation of the <br />public health and welfare and for the usual daily operation of a <br />municipal department~ now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1o That the DirectOr of Public Works be <br />and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract <br />for the razing and clearing of dwellings and garages located at <br />1449 Belle Avenue and 1453 Belle Avenue, with the lowest and best <br />bidder after advertisement according to law. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the cost of said work shall be paid <br />from the Parking Meter Fund. <br /> <br /> Section 3o This resolution is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof <br />and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected tO Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: July 1, 1963 Robert M.
