c~i~L{~?X~JTE FOR RESOLUTION <br /> WITH DOCKET. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. ~372 BY: <br /> <br />Messrs. <br /> <br />Hu££man, Usher, <br />Wendling, Bennett, <br />Cain, Gaydos. <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCy RESOLUTION relating to discounts to be <br />granted to industrial water users who consum~ in excess of 100,000 <br />cubic feet of water per calendar quarter. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, It is in the best interests of the City of <br />Lakewood to foster the full and complete utilization of all lands <br />within the City which are zoned for industrial classes of use,and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, It is the desire of the Council of the City <br />of Lakewood to assure a balanced economy and the continued economic <br />growth of the City, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, It is the desire of said Council to attract <br />new industry to the City of Lakewood in order to fully utilize its <br />industrial land and assist the expansion of its economy, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, It is the desire of said Council to coopera~e <br />with the Department of Development of the State of Ohio in creatin~ <br />a favorable economic climate for the encouragement of both existin~ <br />and new industries, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency <br />measure for the immediate preservation of the public health,safety <br />and welfare and for the usual daily operation of a municipal depar~-- <br />ment; now therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and <br />he is hereby requested to revise the rates charged for water service <br />to consumers in the City of Lakewood, so that as revised, said rates <br />reflect a discount of fifteen per cent (15%) on all water consumed <br /> in excess of 100,000 cubic feet per calendar quarter to all <br /> industrial consumers which are located ~ithin a Group 3 Industrial <br /> Class Use District, as defined in the Zoning Code of the Codified <br /> Ordinances of the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to <br />be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble <br />hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds <br />of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in <br />force irmmediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />November 2~ 1964,, <br /> <br />John GaFdos, <br /> President <br /> <br />Approved:, <br /> <br />~gvember ~,, 196~ <br /> <br />Mar~ Adams <br /> Clerk <br /> <br />Robert M.
