RESOLUTION NO. ~ BY: i~i~, <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director <br />of Public Safety to enter into a contract or contracts <br />for the purchase of two patrol cars, two investigator's <br />cars and two station-wagon ambulances for the Division <br />of Police of the City of Lakewood Safety Department. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency <br />measure in that it provides for the immediate preserv- <br />ation of the public safety and welfare and for the <br />usual daily operation of municipal departments, now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Safety be <br />and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into <br />a contract or contracts for the purchase of two patrol <br />cars, two investigator's cars and two station-wagon <br />ambulances for the Division of Police, and for the <br />sale of two patrol cars, two investigator's cars and <br />two station-wagon ambulances as trade-in on such new <br />vehicles with the lowest and best bidder or bidders <br />after advertisement according to lawo <br /> <br /> Section 2o This resolution is hereby declared to <br />be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the <br />preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirm- <br />ative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immedi- <br />ately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor~ <br /> <br />President <br /> <br /> pproved - <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
