RESOLUTION NO o ~ BY: <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director <br />of Public Safety to enter into a contract or contracts <br />for the purchase of various items of motor vehicle <br />equipment for the Department of Public Safety of <br />the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency <br />measure in that it provides for the immediate preserv- <br />ation of the public safety and welfare and for~ th~ <br />usual daily operation of municipal departments, now <br />therefore~ <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE cITY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, STATE OP OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1o That the Director of Public safety <br />be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter <br />into a contract or contracts for the purchase of th~, <br />following motor vehicle equipment: <br /> <br />1 fire engine pumper <br /> <br />and for the sale or trade-in of present equipment on <br />such new vehicles with the lowest and best bidder or <br />bidders after advertisement according to law. <br /> <br /> Section 2, This resolution is hereby declared <br />to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in <br />the preamble hereof and provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected <br />to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayor° <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />Approved:,~i~ ~i <br /> <br />President <br /> <br />clerk <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
