RESOLUTION NO~ ~6 BY: W~J~. ~eH~ <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Director <br />of Public Works to enter into a contract for the razing and clear- <br />ing of dwellings and garages located at 1365 Cook Avenue and <br />1369 Cook Avenue. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, It is the intention to construct additional off- <br />street parking facilities on parcels of land located at 1365 Cook <br />Avenue and 1369 Cook Avenue, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The structures on said parcels are no longer needed <br />for Municipal purposes, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, It is immediately necessary to remove said <br />structures in order to proceed with the construction of off- <br />street parking, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This Resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />in that it provides for the i~mediate preservation of the public <br />health and welfare and for the usual daily operation of a <br />Municipal department~ now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THECOUNCIL OF THE CIT~ OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is <br />hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract for the <br />razing and clearing of dwellings and garages located at 1365 Cook <br />Avenue and 1369 Cook Avenue with the lowest and best bidder after <br />advertisement according to law. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the cost of said work shall be paid from <br />the Parking Meter Fund. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof <br />and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of <br />all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in <br />force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />President <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
