RESOLUTION <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTIONauthorizing the Director of <br />Public Works to enter into a contract for the purchase of <br />two thousand (2,000) tons of rock salt for the period com- <br />mencing November i, 1965 and ending March 31, 1966. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, In order to provide safety for vehicular <br />and pedestrian traffic during the winter months, it is <br />neCessary to purchase salt, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency <br />measure providing for the immediate preservation of the <br />public health, safety and welfare and for the usual daily <br />operation of a municipal department, now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CODICIL OF THE CITY OF LA,WOOD, <br /> STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and <br />he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract <br />for the purchase of two thousand (2,000) tons of rock salt <br />for the period commencing November 1, 1965 and ending <br />March 31, 1966, for the Department of Public Works, with <br />the lowest and best bidder after advertisement according to <br />law. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to <br />be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble <br />hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members elected to council, it shall t~ke <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and <br /> <br />approval by the Mayor. <br />Adopted:.A~b <br /> <br />president <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
