RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />BY: Cain, ~a~doS. <br /> Huffmaa, Ee~ley <br /> Ward a~ Ushe~ <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Finance <br />Director of the City of Lakewood to accept the principal and in- <br />terest on special assessment levied on permanent parcel number <br />314-16-?0 on the Cuyahoga County Auditor's records and authoriz- <br />ing the County Auditor to cancel said special assessment for the <br />year 1966. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has special assessment charged against the <br />property hereinafter described and levied under Ordinance No. <br />~6-61, adopted by the Council of the City of Lakewood on June 5, <br />1961, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The owner of the said property has tendered payment <br />of the principal portion and interest on the special assesmnent <br />levied on said parcel pursuant to the provisions of Section 5719.16 <br />of the Revised Code of the State of Ohio, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal department~ <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAF~'~0OD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Finance of the City of <br />Lakewood be and he is hereby authorized and directed to accept <br />the sum of $10.98 tendered in payment of the principal and inter- <br />est for the year 1966 of special assessment charged against the <br />property described as permanent parcel number 314-16-70 on the <br />Auditor's records of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, and levied under <br />Ordinance No. ~6-61, adopted by the Council of the City of <br />Lakewood on June 5, 1961. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That said special assessment as hereinbefore <br />set forth having been accepted as set forth in Section i hereof, <br />and the Auditor of Cuyahoga County be and he is hereby authorized <br />to cancel said special assessment for the year 1966, levied under <br />Ordinance No. 46-61, adopted by the Council of the City of Lakewood <br />on June 5, 1961, on permanent parcel number 31~-16-70 on the <br />County Auditor,s records and further described as being Sublot 20, <br />in the Van Rooys Evelyn Avenue Subdivision, each annual assess- <br />ment being in the amount of $10.98. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby <br />authorized and directed to deliver a certified copy of this reso- <br />lution to the Auditor of Cuyahoga County for the purpose of hav- <br />ing said special assessment canceled. <br /> <br /> Section 4. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof <br />and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />President <br /> <br />Approved: May ~9~ ~ , Ae~iU~ Clerk <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
