4514 <br /> <br />BY: Huffman, Kelley, Usher, <br /> Ward, Wendling, Cain &Gaydos <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION ohjecting~ tO the issuance of <br />a D-5 liquor permit to applicant Anthony~ Pace dba Three <br />Crowns, an establishment located at 16026~dison Avenue in <br />the City of Lakewood~ Ohio. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, One Anthony J~ Pacehas applied to the <br />Department of Liquor Comtrol, State of Ohio, for a D-§ Liquor <br />Permit for the premises known as 16026 Madison Avenue in the <br />City of Lakewood, Ohio, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The immediate neighborhood is overly <br /> saturated with liquor and beer establishments at the present <br /> time, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, An investigation of the applicant indicates <br /> that he has close association with person or persons whose <br /> operations are of a questionable character, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This Council is of the opinion that, by <br /> reaso~ of the foregoing, the premises in question are unsuit- <br /> able for the location of a D-5 liquer permit, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency <br /> measure in that it provides for the preservation of the public <br /> peace, property, health and safety and fer the usual daily <br /> operation of a municipal department; now~ therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council hereby strenu~o~ly <br /> objects to the granting, by the Department of Liquor C6ntrOl of <br /> the State of Ohio, of the application of Anthony J. Pace for <br /> the issuance of a D-5 Liquor Permit for the premises known as <br /> 16026 Madison Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio, for the reasons stated <br /> above. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council is hereby <br />directed to submit two certified copies of this resolution and <br />also two signed statements listing the reasons for the objection <br />to the Department of Liquor Control, State of Ohio, Permit <br />Division, within thirty (30) days from September 29, 1966. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That the President of Council designate a <br />member of the Council to represent Council at any hearings <br />before the Department of Liquor Control, State of Ohio. <br /> <br /> Section 4.
