RESOLUTION NO. 4558 BY: <br /> <br />Messrs. K~lley, Usher Ward, <br />Wendl. ing, Caydos, ~uffman <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing <br />the Director of Public Works to enter into a contract, <br />after approval b~ Council, for the construction of <br />approximately 2,400 feet of twelve-inch water main in <br />Detroit Avenue extending from Blossom Park Avenue to <br />Waterbury Road. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This Council has determined to proceed <br />with the improvement set forth in the title hereof by <br />contract, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency <br />measure providing for the immediate preservation of <br />the public health and safety and for the usual daily <br />operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY ~E COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be <br />and he hereby is authorized to enter into a contract <br />for the construction of approximately 2,400 feet of <br />twelve-inch water main in Detroit Avenue extending <br />from Blossom Park Avenue to Waterbury Road, in accord- <br />ance with plans prepared therefore in the office of the <br />Director of Public Works, with the lowest and best <br />bidder after advertisement according to law, and only <br />after approval of such contract by the Council of the <br />City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> Section 2. This resolution is hereby declared to <br />be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the <br />preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative <br />vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it <br />shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />~opted: <br /> <br />March 67 1967 <br /> <br />Charles S.
