RESOLUTION NO, 4614 <br /> <br />BY: Mes~,i's. Keltey~ Usher, %.!ard. <br /> Wendling, Gaydos, Graber,Huffm-~ <br /> <br /> A F~SOLUTION to commend the Reverend Father Stephen F. Radecky <br />for his many years of service at S. S. CYril and Methodius Church in <br />Lal~ewood and on his appointment as Pastor of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin <br />Church of Clevelsnd. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Father Radecky was assigned to S. S. Cyril and Methodius <br />Church on June 14, 1945 and during his years of service was appointed <br />Moderator of the C. and M. Athletic Club, l~g the Diocesan High School <br />Drive to well exceed its goal~ and on the retirement of the late Monsignor <br />F. J. Dubosh on October 1, 1967 was designated Administrator of S. S. Cyril <br />and ~{ethodius, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, He has taken an active interest in the Cleveland Slovak <br />Radio Club, the Catholic Slovak Federation and the fraternal organizations, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEP~AS, He has served as State Chaplain of the Catholic War <br />Vets, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The late Archbishop Hobsn honored him by designating <br />him a Diocesan Court Notary in 1948, a position he still holds, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Despite the ever-increasing demands on his time, he <br />nevertheless found time to visit the shut-ins and invalids and to administer <br />the Sacraments to them; his ever-present smile helped ease their physical <br />pains and the Sacraments he administered brought them spiritual comfort. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Such service, loyalty and devotion to his fellow man <br />should be recognized and commemorated in a proper and fitting manner: <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />IAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council pay tribute to the Reverend <br />Father Stephen F. Radecky in recognition of his years of service at <br />S. S. Cyril and Methodius Church for the glory of God and the Salvation <br />of souls, for his Church, his parishioners and the community. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
