RE~OLUTION NO. 4714 By: Messrs Huffman, Kelley, Usher, <br /> Wards Wendling, Gaydos, Graber <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of Public <br />Works to enter into a contract or contracts for the purchase of <br />various items of motor vehicle equipment for the Department of <br />~ublic Works. <br /> <br /> ~THEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />in that it provides for the immediate preservation of the public <br />safety and welfare and for the usual daily operation of municipal <br />departments~ now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is <br />hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract or contracts <br />for the purchase of the following motor vehicle equipment: <br /> <br />~wo <br />One <br />One <br />one (1) <br />One (1) <br />One (1) <br />One (1) <br />One (1) <br /> <br />(2) 1½ ton trucks with trade,in <br />(1) Salt Spreader with trade-in <br />(1) <br /> <br />for the Street Division <br />for the Street Division <br />Leaf Machine for the Street Division <br />Packer Truck for the Refuse Division <br />2-ton dump truck for the Parks Division <br />Riding Mower for the Parks Division <br />Aerial Tower for the Parks Division <br />Pick-up truqk for the Water Division <br /> <br />and for the sale or trade-in of present equipment for such new <br />vehicles, with the lowest and best bidders after advertisement <br />according to law. <br /> <br /> Section 2. ~hat this~resolution is declared to be an emer- <br />gency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br /> President / <br />o Cler'~ <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
