RESOLUTION NO. 4715 By: Messrs. Kelley, Usher, Ward, Wendling, <br /> Gaydos, Graber, Huffman <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor as Director <br />of Public Safety to enter into a contract or contracts for the <br />purchase of twelve (12) new police cars for the Department of <br />Public Safety of the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ this resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />in that it provides for the immediate preservation of the public <br />safety and welfare and for the usual daily operation of municipal <br />departments; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1o That the Mayor as Director of Public Safety <br />be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into con- <br />tracts for the purchase of the following equipment: <br /> <br />Twelve (12) Police cars with trade-ins. <br /> <br />and for the sale or trade-in of present vehicles for such new <br />vehicles with the lowest and best bidder or bidders after adver- <br />tisement according to law. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof <br />and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of <br />all members elected to Council it shall take effect and be in <br />force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />President <br /> <br /> Clerk ~ <br /> <br />Approved: ~J~/~ L~ <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
