RESOLUTION NO, 4715~ BYe' <br /> <br />Messrs. Gaydos, Graber, Huffman, <br />Kelley, Usher, Ward, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION approving the increas~ in scope <br />of the modernizing and remodeling program at Lakewood Hospital and <br />recognizing the necessity of authorizing the issuance of revenue <br />bonds of the City of Lakewood in an amount not to exceed three <br />million dollars to aid in the financing of said program. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This Council has cooperated in the current <br />expansion pro~ram of Lakewood Hospital including submission of a <br />voted bond issue to the electorate and the issuance of Councilmanic <br />bonds, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The completion of this program and the moderni- <br />zation and rehabilitation of existing facilities is of vital <br />importance to the community and the entire west shore area, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, It has become necessary to increase the scope <br />of said modernizing and remodeling program beyond that originally <br />contemplated, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Additional funds must be provided to financ~ the <br />additional work now included in said program, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety <br />and welfareand for the usual daily operation of a municipal depart- <br />ment; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF.THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Council hereby acknowledges the necessity <br />of and approves the revision of the original program for themodern- <br />izing and remodeling of Lakewood Hospital so that as revised said <br />program contemplates a substantial increase in the scope thereof. <br /> <br /> S~ction 2. That Council hereby acknowledges the necessity <br />for providing additional funds for the purpose of financing the <br />additional work to be included in the revised program and to that <br />end agrees to authorize the issuance of revenue bonds of the City <br />of Lakewood in an amount not to exceed three million dollars, <br />~pon terms and conditions satisfactory to it. Such revenue bonds <br />are to be amortized solely out of the proceeds of the operation of <br />Lakewood Hospital. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this resolution is hereby declared <br />to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the pre- <br />amble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and <br /> <br />approval by.,theMayor. <br /> <br />/ <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />-' Pre~ident / <br />C£er~ / <br />~ayor <br /> <br /> <br />
