RESOLUTION NO, 4715~ BYe' Messrs. Gaydos, Graber, Huffman, Kelley, Usher, Ward, Wendling AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION approving the increas~ in scope of the modernizing and remodeling program at Lakewood Hospital and recognizing the necessity of authorizing the issuance of revenue bonds of the City of Lakewood in an amount not to exceed three million dollars to aid in the financing of said program. WHEREAS, This Council has cooperated in the current expansion pro~ram of Lakewood Hospital including submission of a voted bond issue to the electorate and the issuance of Councilmanic bonds, and, WHEREAS, The completion of this program and the moderni- zation and rehabilitation of existing facilities is of vital importance to the community and the entire west shore area, and, WHEREAS, It has become necessary to increase the scope of said modernizing and remodeling program beyond that originally contemplated, and, WHEREAS, Additional funds must be provided to financ~ the additional work now included in said program, and, WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency measure providing for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfareand for the usual daily operation of a municipal depart- ment; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF.THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That Council hereby acknowledges the necessity of and approves the revision of the original program for themodern- izing and remodeling of Lakewood Hospital so that as revised said program contemplates a substantial increase in the scope thereof. S~ction 2. That Council hereby acknowledges the necessity for providing additional funds for the purpose of financing the additional work to be included in the revised program and to that end agrees to authorize the issuance of revenue bonds of the City of Lakewood in an amount not to exceed three million dollars, ~pon terms and conditions satisfactory to it. Such revenue bonds are to be amortized solely out of the proceeds of the operation of Lakewood Hospital. Section 3. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the pre- amble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by.,theMayor. / Approved: -' Pre~ident / C£er~ / ~ayor
