RESOLUTION NO. 4725 BY: Messrs. Gaydos, Graber, Huffman, <br /> Usher, Ward, W~dling <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION designating Robert M. Lawther, Mayor, as the official <br />of the City of Lakewood who is authorized and empowered to execute the necessary <br />application form and file it in the appropriate State office for the purpose of <br />obtaining certain Federal financial assistance under the Federal Disaster Act <br />(Public Law 875, 81st Congress 42 U.S.C. 1855-1855g). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an emergency exists in that the City of Lakewood was struck by a violent <br />storm on July 4, 1969, causing damage to the public facilities of said city, and <br />it is necessary to make i~nediate application for reimbursement of funds ex- <br />pended for repairing the damage done to the public facilities by such storm <br />and that this resolution is necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />public property, health and safety; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the said City of Lakewood is in need of aid in financing the emergency <br />repairs and placing in service its public facilities; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAK~WOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1~ That Robert M~ Lawther, Mayor, is hereby authorized to execute for <br /> and in behalf of the City of Lakewood, a public entity established under the <br /> laws of the State of Ohio, this application and to file it in the appropriate <br /> State office for the purpose of obtaining certain Federal financial assistance <br /> under the Federal Disaster Act (Public Law 875 815t Congress, 42 UoS.C. <br /> 1855-1855g). <br /> <br /> Section 3.
