Gaydos, Graber, Huffman, Kelley, Usher, Ward, Wendling AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of Finance to pay the cost of memberships of municipal employees and/or Divisions or Departments in certain associations, for the year 1970, and declaring such memberships to be in the public interest. WHEREAS, Memberships of municipal employees in organizations designed to enhance the operation of municipal departments by the exchange of ideas, information and experience insures to the public benefit, and, WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency measure providing for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health and safety and fo~ the usual daily operation of municipal departments: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEW00D, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That memberships in the following organizations and associations by employees and/or Divisions or Departments of the City of Lakewood are hereby declared to be in the public interest: Academy of Medicine American Forestry Association American Institute of Planners 'American Judicature Society American Nurses Association American Public Health Association American society of Public Administration American Society of Sanitary Engineering American Water Works Association ASPO Planning Advisory Service Building Officials Conference of Northeastern Ohio Cleveland Medical Library Association Crime Clinic, Inc.
