That the Clerk of the Council shall cause written notice of <br />the adoption of this resolution to be serviced on each of the owners of each <br />parcel of land abutting upon the sidewalks, curbs and gutters, to be repaired <br />and laid, and in the manner provided by law for the service of summons in civil <br />actions and in accordance with Section 19 of the Charter of the City of Lakewood. <br />Said notice shall also provide that if the sidewalks, curbs and gutters are not <br />xepaired and lard in accordance with this resolution and the notice within <br />thirty (30) days from the service of notice, or the completion of the publica- <br />tion of the publication thereof, the City will proceed through the appropriate <br />department to repair and lay such sidewalks, curbs and gutters at the expense <br />of the owner of the property in front of which the same is repaired or laid; <br />and the cost thereof, unless paid to the Director of Finance, will be assessed <br />against the abutting property and collected in the same manner as other assess- <br />meats, all as provided in Section 19 of the Charter of the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That Resolution No. 3109 as adopted on March 2, 1942, be <br />and the same is hereby repealed. <br /> <br /> Section 4. That this.resolutionhaving been determined to be an emergency <br />measure, shall be in full force and ef~fect fr~ and immediately after its <br />passage and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br /> <br />
