P, ESOLUTION NO. 4777 BY: Messrs. Graber,I i~uffman, Usher, Ward, Wendling, Gaydos A RESOLUTION expressing the sympathy of tile Council and the Administration of the City of Lakewood to tile family of the late Frank C. Zonar, Sergea~t, U. S. Army. WtIEREAS, The Council of the City of Lakewood desires to honor the momory of our brave young men serving in South East Asia who have unselfishly sacrificed their lives for the freedom of mankind, and whose passing should not go unnoticed by the residents of our community, and, WHEREAS, the parents of Frank C. Zonar are residents of the City of Lakewood, and, WHEREAS, Frank C. Zonar was graduated from West tligh School in 1968 and joined the Army in March of 1969, and, WHEREAS, Frank C. Zonar was sent to Vietnam in May of 1970, participated in several sweeps into Cambodia, and was killed in action on June 18, 1970 while valiantly defending his unit's position against an enemy attack, and WHEREAS, Frank C. Zonar was a loyal and patriotic young man who chose to serve his country during wartime, and deserves our gratitude and respect for making the ultimate sacrifice; now, therefore: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That this entire Council and the Administration honors the memory of Frank C. Znnar, and extends deepest sympathy to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Zonar, to his brothers R~chard, Robert, Tom, Eugene, Edward and Raymond and to his sisters Mary and Patricia, residing at 1327 Bonnieview Avenue. Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed to present a certified copy of this resolution to the family of Frank C. Zonar, and that a copy of this resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting. Adopted: ff Approved: Mayor
