? <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4812 BY: Messrs. Kelley, Usher, Ward, <br /> Wendling, Gaydos, Graber, <br /> Huffman <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor as Director of <br />Public Safety, to enter into a contract or contracts for the purchase <br />of 5 cars for the Police Department and one 1/2~ton pick up truck for <br />the Fire Department of the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure in that <br />it provides for the i~nediate preservation of the public safety and wel- <br />fare and for the usual daily operation of municipal departments; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF Tim CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br />OltlO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor as Director of Public Safety be and he <br />is hereby authorized and. directed to enter into contracts for the purchase <br />of tile following equipm'ent: <br /> <br />Five (5) new Police cars with trade-ins <br />One (1) new 1/2 ton Pick Up Truck for the Fire Department <br /> <br />and for the sale or trade-in of present vehicles for such new vehicles <br />with the lowest and best bidder or bidders after advertisement according <br />to law. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br /> President / <br />Acting Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
