RESOLUTION NO. 4843 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Gaydos, Graber, Huffman, <br /> Kelley, Ward, Usher <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Director <br />of Public Works to enter into a contract for the furnishing of electric <br />street lighting service. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, electric street lighting is essential to pedestrian <br />and vehicular traffic within the City of Lakewood, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety <br />and welfare and for the usua~ daily operation of a municipal department; <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAtIEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is <br />hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract for the furnish- <br />ing of electric street lighting service with the lowest and best bidder <br />after advertisement according to law. <br /> <br /> Section 2. This resolution is hereby declared to be an emer- <br />gency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided <br />it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected <br />to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted <br /> <br />~re ~ident <br /> <br />Clerk. <br /> <br />Approved <br /> <br /> <br />
