Magnotto, McBride, <br />Usher, Wendling, Brockman~ <br />Graber, Kelley <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the <br />Director of Public Works to enter into a contract, after approval <br />by Council, for the construction of approximately 2800 feet of <br />8-inch water main, connections and necessary appurtances in Wagar <br />Avenue ~xtending from Detroit Avenue south to Madison Avenue. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has determined to proceed with <br />the improvement set forth in the title hereof by contract, and~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the immediate preservation of the public health and <br />safety and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he <br />is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the construction <br />of approximately 2800 feet of 8-inch water main, connections and <br />necessary appurtances in Wagar Avenue extending from Detroit Avenue <br />south to Madison Avenue, in accordance with plans prepared there- <br />fore in the office of the Director of Public Works, with the lowest <br />and best bidder after advertisement according to law, and only after <br />approval of such contract by the Council of the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> Section 2. This resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all mem- <br />bers elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force im- <br />mediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
