RESOLUTION NO. 4873 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Magnotto, McBride, Usher, <br /> Brockman, Graber, Kelley <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTIOM authorizing the Director of Public Safety <br />to enter into a contract or contracts for the purchase of various items <br />of motor vehicle equipment for the Department of Public Safety. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Resolution constitutes an emergency measure in that <br />it provides for the immediate preservation of the public safety and wel- <br />fare and for the usual daily operation of municipal departments; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br />OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Safety be and he is hereby <br />authorized and directed to enter into a contract or contracts for the <br />purchase of the following motor vehicle equipment: <br /> <br />Four (4) Sedans for the Police Department <br />One (1) Sedan for the Fire Department <br />One (1) Station wagon for the Fire Department <br /> <br />and for the sale or trade-in of three sedans from the Police Department <br />for such new vehicles, with the lowest and best bidders after advertise- <br />ment according to law. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: .~ hz/~7~ <br /> <br />Clerk / <br /> <br />Approved: /~~--~ ~//~7 <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
