RESOLUTION NO. 4896 <br /> <br />MeSsrs. Usher, Wendling, Brockman, <br />Graber, Kelley, Magnotto, McBride <br /> <br />AN ~ERGENCY ~ESOLUTION co~,ending Richard E. Fansler for his eleven <br />years of outstanding service as Suburban Re~orter for the Cleveland <br />Press. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Richard E. Fansler has served as Suburban Reporter for the <br />Cleveland Press for the past eleven years, all of which have been <br />devoted to Lakewood and the other western suburbs, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Fansler accumulated a fund of knowledge concerning <br />western suburban activities both civic and governmental and was, <br />therefore/ particularly well equipped to report the news thoroughly <br />and factually, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Fansler always took a personal interest in the various <br />news stories which he was assigned to write, being careful to check <br />all facts and to give both sides of important controversies, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Fansler has always performed his duties with complete <br />integrity, honesty, and sincerity keeping in mind the rights of <br />the individual and the welfare of the community which he was <br />covering, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Fansler has been promoted to a new position on the <br />staff of the Cleveland Press on the basis of his outstanding <br />performance in the Suburban Department, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That Richard E. Fansler be commended for his years of <br />service to the suburban beat and for the special service he has <br />rendered to the City of Lakewood and its citizens in keeping them <br />informed of important community developments through the years. <br /> <br />Section 2.
