RESOLUTION NO. 4914 BY: Messrs. McBride, Usher, Werner, Graber, Brockman, Magnotto AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION to authorize the City of Lakewood to retain Charles P. Braman & Co., Inc. as a real estate Valuation consultant to the City of Lakewood. WHEREAS, numerous complaints have been filed with the Board of Tax Revision of Cuyahoga County requesting reductions of real estate tax valuations by owners of properties located in the City of Lakewood, and WHEREAS, it is necessary in order to effectively oppose such complaints not only to have expert real estate tax valuation consultants personally appear at the ~arings before the Board of Tax Revision, but also to have such experts available fOr consultation and advice, and .. WHEREAS, it is for the best interests of the City of Lakewood to have' such expert constantly reviewing real estate transfers in the City to advise as to which properties might he subject to a complaint to increase its assessed value, and WI~EREAS, the Board of Education of the City of Lakewood has agreed that such consultant is necessary and has agreed to shar~ in the cost thereof~ now, therefore~ BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the City of Lakewood retain Charles P. Braman & Co., Inc. as a real estate tax valuation consultant. Section 2. That the Director of Finance of the City of Lakewood be and he is hereby authorized to pay Charles P. Braman & Co., Inc. from the Contingency F~nd the City's share of the fee of such consultant. Section 3.
