RESOLUTION NO. 4915 BY: Messrs. Usher, Werner, Brockman, Graber, Magnotto, McBride AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION proclaiming the week of December 17-23, 1972 as Lakewood High School Symphonic Choir Week and urging all Lakewood citizens to encourage and support the efforts to send the Symphonic Choir to the Festival of Three Cities. WHEREAS, the'Lakewood High School Symphonic Choir has developed a tradition of excellence in the performance of fine music, and WHEREAS, the Lakewood High School SymphontcChoir has provided inspiration to our eonmaunity with its annual Christmas Concert, and WHEREAS, the student members of the Symphonic Choir exemplify the high caliber of Lakewood youth in their dedication, devotion and service to their high school and to the community as.a whole, and WMEREAS, the Lakewood High School Symphonic Choir has been honored by invitation to be one of ten high schools in the country to represent the United States at the Festival of Three Cities to be held in the summer of 1973 in Vienna,Austria, Prague, Czechoslovakia and Budapest, Hungary, and WHEREAS, such participation is deserving of the encouragement and support of all citizens of the City of Lakewood, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: ~ Section 1. That this Council hereby proclaims the week of December 17-23, 1972 ~as Lakewood High School Symphonic Choir Week and strongly urges all citizens of the City of Lakewood to encourage and support the efforts to send'the Lakewood High School Symphonic Choir to the Festival of Three Cities to be held in the summer of 1973 in Vienna,Austria, Prague,Czechoslovakia and Budapest, Hungary° Section 2.
