RESOLUTION NO. 4940 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Werner, Brockmanw <br /> Magnotto, McBride, Usher <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION to co~nend Andrew T. Ungar for his public service as Director <br />of Public Works and City Engineer of the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Andrew T. Ungar was appointed Superintendent of Streets of the City <br />of Lakewood on November 11, 1964, and on June 15, 1968 was elevated to the <br />position of Director of Public Works and City Engineer for the City and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, his ready acceptance of responsibility and his rapid promotion <br />are evidence of his leadership ability, devotion to his community and <br />desire to ~ender outstanding service and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Ungar =.oly and with distinction served this community as a <br />member of The Planning Commission and the Board of Revision of Assessments <br />and as a member of the Lakewood Athletic Commission and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, during his tenure with the City of Lakewood he has won the respect <br />and affection of his cQlleagues as evidenced by his service asa Director <br />of the Northern Ohio Service Director's Association and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, under his leadership and direction the Department of Public Works <br />of the City of Lakewood has achieved an enviable record of performance and <br />~ervice and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Andrew T. Ungar has resigned his position with the City of Lakewood <br />effective April 1, 1973 to accept appointment as Director of the Cleveland <br />Regional Sewer District, now'therefore: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That this Council extends to Mr. Andrew T. Ungar its appreciation <br />and that of the citizens of this community for his more than eight years of <br />distinguished public service to the City of Lakewood and further, that this <br />Council wishes him continued success in his new endeavor. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and <br />directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to Mr. Andrew T. <br />Ungar, 17507 Narragansett Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio 44107 and that a copy of <br />this resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />Vice pr e s~ident <br /> <br /> <br />
