RESOLUTION NO. 4942 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. McBride, Usher, Werner, <br /> Brockman, Magnotto <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of <br />Public Works to enter into a contract or contracts for the purchase of <br />various items of motor vehicle equipment for the Department of Public <br />Works. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Resolution constitutes an emergency <br />measure in that it provides for the immediate preservation of the public <br />safety and welfare and for the usual daily operation of municipal depart- <br />ments; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHI0: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and <br />he is hereby authorized and directed to~ enter into a contract or contracts <br />for the purchase of the following motor vehicle equipment: <br /> <br />Two (2) <br />One (1) <br />One (1) <br />One (1) <br />Two (2) <br />One (1) <br />One (1) <br />One (1) <br />One (1) <br /> <br />Packer trucks for the Refuse Department <br />Payloader for the Refuse Department <br />One-ton roller for the Street Department <br />Tower Truck for the Signal Department <br />Salt Spreaders for the Street Department <br />Dump truck for Waste Water Treatment <br />Jeep for the Park Department <br />Dump truck for the Park Department <br />Mower for the Park Department <br /> <br />and for the sale or trade-in of present equipment for such new vehicles, <br />with the lowest and best bidders after advertisement according to law. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
