RESOLUTION NO. 4948 BY: Messrs. Brockman, Magnotto, McBride~ <br /> ·Usher, Sinagra, Werner <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend Robert E. Wendling for his public service as <br />a Councilman in the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Robert E. Wendling was elected to the Office of Councilman-at- <br />Large of the City of Lakewood for the term beginning January 1,1962 and served <br />continuously in that capacity until business commitments necessitated his resigna- <br />tion effective April 30, 1973, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Wendling ably and with distinction served this Council and <br />the community as President of Council for the years 1968 through 1971 and for the <br />period from September 16, 1972 to April 30, 1973, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, his service as Chairman of the vital Finance and Hospital <br />Committees and of the City Property, the City Departments and the Utilities and <br />Transportation Committees during his tenure as Councilman ts further evidence of <br />his leadership ability and profound interest in the progress and welfare of our <br />community, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mro Wendling carried out his Council duties quietly, efficiently <br />and with seasoned maturity and at all times provided this Council with learned and <br />broad professional expertise, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, throughout his more than eleven years of service as a Councilman, <br />Mr. Wendling was recognized as a conscientious, effective and respected legislator, <br />devoted to providing distinguished service to his co~unity, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that such outstanding public service <br />rendered by Mr. Wendling be given public cognizance and recognition, now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHI0: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council extends to Mro Robert Eo Wendling its <br />appreciation, and that of all of the citizens of this community, for his more than <br />eleven years of distinguished public service as Ceuncilman in the City of Lakewood, <br />and further that this Council wishes him continued years of good health, success <br />and prosperity° <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and <br />directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Mr. Robert Eo Wendling, <br />1275 Overlook Road, Lakewood, Ohio, 44107, and that a copy of this Resolution be <br />spread upon the minutes of this meeting~ <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
