RESOLUTION NO. 4974 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Graber, Magnotto, McBride, <br /> Usher, Sinagra, Werner <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend Mayor Robert Mo Lawther and his <br />administrative staff for their contributi~On to the honor of having the <br />City of Lakewood, Ohio designated the safest city in America. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Esquire Magazine in its December 1973 issue published <br />the results of a crime rate survey which showed that the City of Lakewood, <br />Ohio is the safest city in America, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the publication of such article has bestowed upon the <br />City of Lakewood significant honor and deserved.national recognition, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, such enviable distinction is, to a substantial degree~ <br />the result of strong, efficient leadership of the Mayor and a dedicated and <br />devoted administrative staff, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the contribution of the Mayor and his administrative <br />staff should be recognized in a proper and fitting manner; now, therefore~ <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Lakewood City Council extends to Mayor Robert M. <br />Lawther and his administrative staff its appreciation and that of all the <br />citizens of this community for their contribution to the honor of having the <br />City of Lakewood, Ohio designated the safest city in America° <br /> <br /> Section 2.
