RESOLUTION NO. 4975 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Magnotto, McBride, Singara, <br /> Usher, Werner,.Graber <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to con~nend Chief Charles J. Petro and the members <br />of.'the Lakewood Police Department for their contribution to the honor of <br />having the City of Lakewood, Ohio designated the safest city in America. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Esquire Magazine in its December 1973 issue published <br />the results of a crime rate survey which showed that the City of Lakewood, <br />Ohio is the safest city in America, and <br /> <br /> ~HEREAS, the publication of such article has bestowed upon the <br />City of Lakewood significant honor and deserved national recognition, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, such enviable distinction is, to a substantial degree, <br />the result of strong, efficient leadership of Chief Petro and the dedication <br />to duty of the members of the Lakewood Police Department, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the contributions of Chief Petro and the members of the <br />Lakewood Police Department should be recognized in a proper and fitting <br />manner; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF TME CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Lakewood City Council extends to Chief Charles J. <br />Petro and the members of the Lakewood Police Department its appreciation and <br />that of all the citizens of this community for their contribution to the honor <br />of having the City of Lakewood, Ohio designated the safest city in America. <br /> <br /> Section~ 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized <br />and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Chief Charles Jo <br />Petro, Lakewood Police Department, 12650 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio and <br />that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the~inutes of this meeting. <br />Adopted: ~~ -~ /~7~// ~/,//~e~sJn t/~U~~ <br /> <br /> <br />
