RESOLUTION NO. 4987 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Graber, Magnotto, McBride, <br /> Sinagra, Usher, Brockman, Chinnock <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend R. Budd Werner for his public service <br />as a Councilman-at-Large in the City of Lakewoodo <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, R. Budd Werner was appointed to the office of Councilman- <br />at-Large of the City of Lakewood on September 18, 1972 to fill an unexpired <br />term, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Werner served as such Councilman-at-Large ably and <br />with great distinction from that date until December 31, 1973, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, prior to his appointment to Council, Mr. Werner was a <br />member of the Board of Zoning Appeals of the City of Lakewood, serving on <br />such Board from February 17, 1964 to December 31, 1967 and was Chairman of <br />said Board during the year 1967, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, upon the completion of his tenure on the Board of Zoning <br />Appeals, Mr. Werner served as a member of the Planning Commission of the City <br />of Lakewood from January 2, 1968 until his appointment to Council and was <br />Chairman of said Planning Commission during the year 1971, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Werner has, throughout his career in public service, <br />evidenced continued interest in the progress and welfare of our con~nunity <br />and in particular was recognized as a conscientious, effective and respected <br />legislator during his tenure as Councilman-at-Large, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the outstanding public <br />service rendered by Mr. Werner be given public cognizance and recognition; <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. This Council extends to Mr. R. Budd Werner its apprecia- <br />tion, and that of all the citizens of this community, for his many years of <br />distinguished public service to the City of Lakewood, and further that this <br />Council wishes him continued years of success, health and prosperity. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized <br />and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Mr. R.
