RESOLUTION NO. 5008 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Sinagra, Usher, Brockman, Ch~nnock, <br /> Graber, Magnotto, McBride <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Director of Public <br />Works to employ by contract, the firm of Watermation, Inc. as consulting <br />engineers for the purpose of conducting a computerized sewer analysis to <br />identify weak spots and strengths in 133 miles of separate and combined <br />sewers, establish priorities for improvements, and provide the City with <br />a design package for use as a basis for final design in the preparation <br />of construction plans and a summary report. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has determined that it is necessary to <br />provide relief to the residents of Lakewood who have experienced flooded <br />basements, and, <br /> WHEREAS, a computerized sewer analysis is the quickest and most <br />efficient way to determine priorities for sewer improvements, now, <br />therefore; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be, and he is <br /> hereby authorized and directed to employ by contract the firm of Waterma- <br /> tion, Inc., 1404.East 9th Street, Cleveland, Ohio, as consulting engin- <br /> eers for the purpose of conducting a computerized sewer analysis of the <br /> 133 miles of separate and combined sewers in the City of Lakewood, es- <br /> tablish priorities for improvements, provide the City with a design <br /> package for use as a basis for final design in the preparation of con- <br /> struction plans, and submit a summary report. Said. contract shall be <br /> based upon the proposal submitted by the said Watermation, Inc. dated <br /> May 8, 1974 and shall provide for a fee not to exceed $73,000.00. <br /> Section 2.
