RESOLUTION NO. 5020 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Chinnock, McBride, Sinagra, <br /> Usher, Brockman <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION in honor and memory of the late Kenneth J. <br />Nieberding, Major of the Lakewood Auxiliary Police, and extending <br />deepest sympathy to his family. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Kenneth J. Nieberding served as Major of the <br />Lakewood Auxiliary Police after serving as a member of the Auxiliary <br />Police for many years, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Nieberding was a member of the Magnificat High <br />School Fathers Club and served as an usher at St. Clement Church, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Nieberding was always active in community affairs, <br />having donated more than five gallons of blood to the American Red Cross <br />and having participated in countless service projects for numerous organi- <br />zations, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Nieberding passed away on July 27, 1974, and is <br />survived by his wife and thirteen children as well as his parents, Mr. <br />and Mrs. Joseph Nieberding, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Kenneth J. Nieberding was an outstanding citizen of <br />the City of Lakewood and was always willing to be of assistance to his <br />fellow residents not only in his capacity as an employee of the Ohio Bell <br />Telephone Company but also through his many volunteer activities, and <br /> <br /> WHERJ~AS, the grief and sadness occasioned by his untimely death <br />are shared by all City officials and his many friends and associates; <br />now, therefore: <br /> <br />OHIO: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br /> <br /> Section 1o That Lakewood City Council extends to the family of <br />Kenneth J. Nieberding its deepest sympathy during this time of grief, and <br />its appreciation on behalf of all citizens of the City of Lakewood for his <br />years of devoted public service to the community. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby <br />authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to <br />Mrs. Kenneth J. Nieberding, 17507 Daleview Drive, Lakewood, Ohio, and that <br />a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br />Clerk~ <br /> <br /> <br />
