RESOLUTION NO. 5022 BY: <br /> <br />Messrs. Chinnock, Graber, Magnotto, McBride, <br /> Sinagra, Usher, Brockman <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of PublicWorks to <br />enter into a contract for the purchase of approximately three thousand <br />tons (3,000) of rock salt for the period commencing November 1, 1974 <br />and ending March 31, 1975. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to provide safety for vehicular and ped- <br />estrian traffic during the winter months, it is necessary to purchase <br />salt, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution provides for the immediate pre- <br />servation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the usual <br />daily operation of a municipal department, now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be, and he <br />is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract for the <br />purchase of three thousand (3,000) tons of rock salt for the period com- <br />mencing November 1, 1974 and ending March 31, 1975, for the Department <br />of Public Works, Division of Streets, with the lowest and best bidder <br />after advertisement according to lawn. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
